Antique 1833 – 1841, The Haas Co. Chicago, Blob Top Blue Bottle, with Embossed Stamps, THC Trade Mark Logo and Company Spellout. Bottle measures 7″H x 2.25″D at base. Top opening is 3/4″D. Bottle holds 10 oz. and weighs 1 lb.
Research reveals that William Haas opened Chicago’s first commercial brewery in 1833, along with partner Konrad Sulzer, who then sold the company in 1841 to the Diversey & Lill Brewery, (dating this bottle back to the early Haas Co). This does not appear to be a beer bottle, but water.

Good antique condition. No stopper. There are manufacturing bubbles and striations noted within the glass, no cracks noted. There is interior cloudiness and dirt noted. There is a tiny chip on the right shoulder and one on the inside rim at opening. Exterior wear & scraping noted around base of bottle. See photos for details and condition. No returns accepted.
